Growing up in the family business, Mike has always been passionate about boating. For the last 10 years, he has continued his passion for assisting his clients in the purchase or sale of new and pre-owned vessels. His focus is on the Viking, Princess, and Valhalla brands. Michael is the eldest son of Carmine and Jane Galati. He well understands that the family business is not a job, but a way of life. Growing up in the business, Mike was raised around the boatyard, attended rendezvous and tournaments, being introduced to the industry that would someday be his future. He also learned by example watching his family and other team members work hard every day to take care of their customers’ needs in both sales and service, and he knows the importance of the company mission statement to consistently exceed the expectations of their customers. As Mike grew older, he worked after school and summers with his father and other departmental and location managers achieving a good understanding of the business and the marine industry. He graduated from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) with a degree in business management. He has also studied international business for 5 months in Spain and is proficient in Spanish. Mike has traveled to international boat shows and manufacturing facilities around the world including Princess in England, Maritimo in Australia, Grand Banks in Malaysia, Horizon in Taiwan, Prestige in France, Viking Yachts in New Jersey & Tiara in Michigan. Mike holds a current brokerage license. He has completed Viking Masters factory authorized sales training and is the second graduate to complete the comprehensive sales course through the Yacht Brokerage Institute. Throughout his first 10 years in the business, Mike has begun a very successful career, he has been involved with hundreds of deals, new and brokerage. His focus is on Princess and Viking. He manages the build process and specifications for Galati’s stock Viking models. Mike is savvy, well organized, focused, driven, and is passionate about his contribution to the family business as the leader in the next generation of yachting enthusiasts.
