I started my career as a mate in the sportfish industry working on charter boats out of Ponce Inlet, FL when I was 15 years old. At 18 years old, I had a passion for fishing and boats and loved it. While earning my bachelor’s degree in the morning, I attended night school to obtain my Captain’s License. After receiving my license, I stayed working as a mate to gain as much knowledge and experience as I could about various boats and sport fishing from the professionals. Couple of years later, I was offered my first job as a Captain on a Private Sport Fish Yacht. As time went on, I gained more experience and upgraded my captain license and was offered a job on a yacht. I worked for over 10 years as captain of motor yachts up to 130’. After traveling to numerous places and working on a variety of sport fishing yachts and motor yachts I moved back to my home town in Florida and started to captain a home based sport fishing yacht. After many years of traveling and being around numerous owners, captains, mates and guests, I have learned what makes this industry unique and fun while being passionate about the ocean.
