RED DRAGON is a 51.7m (169.58ft) Luxury Sloop-Rigged Aluminium Sailing Yacht launched in 2008 by New Zealand shipyard Alloy Yachts. Designed by renowned design firm Dubois Naval Architects, RED DRAGON was extensively refitted in 2023 and presents in impeccable condition thanks to her meticulous care and longstanding crew onboard.

Exterior Design & Engineering

With her exterior designed by Dubois Naval Architects, RED DRAGON embodies a sleek and sophisticated design, making her a timeless vessel which could have been delivered yesterday.

Constructed with an aluminium alloy 5083 hull and superstructure and powered by a single 1,400 Hp Caterpillar C32 C diesel engine, RED DRAGON yacht reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots and has a range of 4,900nm at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Amenities

RED DRAGON is home to world-class Superyacht amenities, designed for entertainment and for experiencing the most of your surroundings thanks to her thoughtful design and large windows.

The sun deck features a large al fresco dining area which can be sheltered with adjustable awnings, along with forward-facing sun loungers which allow guests to bask in the sun and benefit from the ocean breeze.

Stairs lead from the sun deck down to the main deck, where there is a relaxed and protected al fresco dining area with built-in sofas which benefit from uninterrupted views of her surroundings.

Leading aft, there is an expansive deck with more sun loungers, providing a place of relaxation which can also be utilised for exercise by guests if desired. A fold out swimming platform at the stern creates the perfect launch pad for RED DRAGON’s array of toys to be enjoyed.

She features an open plan living area, with a relaxed sofa setting and views towards the stern. Inside, there is a further inside dining area along with a bar for evening entertaining.

Interior design

Designed by Wilmotte & Associates (interior designers of the Louvre amongst other things), her stylish interior embodies a stylistic approach in contemporary design, complemented with the use of high-quality Superyacht-level materials. Throughout there is a harmonious balance through light wooden features and soft furnishings, with large expanses of glass drawing the outside in and providing guests with excellent sea views.

In 2023, RED DRAGON underwent refit and maintenance works. These include repainting of the transom, rebuild of two winches, rig checks and service work by Marine Results, new black tank install, sails serviced by North Sails, all sheets and main halyard replaced, a new aft deck awning installed and the replacement of the 20-man life raft.

RED DRAGON now accommodates 10/12 guests across five cabins, including a luxurious and spacious owner’s suite expertly designed by Wilmotte & Associates, continuing the sophisticated and modern feel experienced throughout her communal interior. The rest of her guests are accommodated across three double cabins (one of them with pullman bunk), and one twin cabin also with pullman, all with ensuite bathrooms.

Toys, tender, sailboats & gym

RED DRAGON features an impressive range of tenders and water toys including one 7m Castoldi Jet Tender and two Reverso Sailboats, along with an e-foil and hydrofoil boards, Seabobs, water skis, wakeboards, SUPs, windsurfers, ball sports, towable toys, diving equipment, snorkelling gear together with a gym with treadmill & weights.
