Exterior Design & Engineering

The full displacement cruising ketch features a classic, yet timeless profile designed by Ron Holland and is constructed with an aluminium hull and superstructure.

When under power, her twin 1,257 Hp turbo charged Caterpillar engines achieve a top speed of 16 knots with a range of 4,000nm at a cruising speed of 11 knots.

During ASAHI’s comprehensive 2023 refit, the hull and stern was painted, teak work was completed including the renewal of the mast area decking along with the upgrade of her IT/AV equipment, a brand-new galley, new flooring in the main salon and dining area, and the installation of new LED lighting throughout. Her complete suite of Doyle sails were also replaced in 2022.

Amenities

The sun deck of ASAHI features a Jacuzzi aft with sun pads for lounging while taking in the panoramic views. Forward, there’s ample space available for entertainment, with a bar and various seating areas.

One of ASAHI’s main features is the huge open space at the main deck. The aft is home to more sofas with a large screen for al fresco cinema evenings. This area is overlooked by a formal dining table that can seat up to 12 guests and also features sun loungers on the elevated platform.

The 2m wide hydraulic swim platform is complete with handrails, a swim ladder and a permanent hot and cold-water shower at the entrance. On the starboard side she features a fold out transom leading up to the aft deck at the back of the yacht.

The main salon is bordered by windows and flooded with light and features a lounge area forward with seats surrounding a coffee table and a staircase amidship. This leads to a formal circular dining table that seats 12, with a curved bar beside it.

Interior Design

ASAHI’s interior embraces a sleek and minimal aesthetic, finished in calming neutral tones with endless light throughout. Penned by Remi Tessier, she features touches of mahogany, wenge, ebony and textured leather, with the overall effect creating a zen-like atmosphere.

She features accommodation for 12 guests across six cabins. The full-beam L-shaped master suite boasts a vanity area and sofa, a large wardrobe and an ensuite with bathtub and shower. The remainder of guests sleep across two VIPs, two twins with a Pullman berth each, and one cabin with upper-lower bunks, ideal for children or staff. There is further accommodation onboard for a crew of 10

Toys & Tenders

ASAHI comes with an exceptional selection of toys and tenders, offering endless options of on-water entertainment. She includes a range of foil and flite boards, wakeboards, skis, surfboards, wind surfers, kayaks, dinghies, and Seabobs along with inflatable toys and towable toys. In addition, there is spearfishing, diving and snorkelling equipment. For water sports and excursions to shore, she is equipped with one brand new 12.4m Protector chase tender and one 6m Zodiac outboard tender.
