Description
AELO is a 38,1m (125 ft) Classic Sail Yacht launched in 1921 by German ship builder Max Oertz and rebuilt in 2011. AELO is available for charter to cruise in the crystal clear waters of the eastern Mediterranean taking in the rich beauty of Greece, dining in historic ports, exploring secluded bays & lagoons with emerald water, or taking in the vibrant nightlife on any of the many famous Greek islands. Pricing is from € 40,000 per week with accommodation for up to 8 guests (and 5 crew).
Constructed in 1921 by legendary German ship builder Max Oertz, S/Y “Aello” originally belonged to the prominent Greek – Egyptian merchant Antonis Benakis who bestowed important museums and collections to Greece. During its almost century-long history, it has sailed the seven seas, exploring faraway and mysterious destinations, and winning prestigious regattas. “Aello” is the only remaining large schooner of Max Oertz design in the world.
She was the very first vessel to be registered as a yacht in Greece upon the establishment of the yacht Club of Greece and today offers her guests the unique opportunity to explore the Greek islands in timeless style on this wonderful and luxurious classic yacht.
